The Rural Woodstock Public Library District was created in 1977 to serve residents who reside in Community School District 200 but live outside of the city limits of Woodstock. The Rural Library Board negotiates a contract each year with the City Library Board for library services and levies taxes to pay for the contract. As part of the contract, there are two types of library cards available.
Rural Woodstock Public Library Cards

With your FREE Library Card you can:
• Check out up to 3 items per library card at any one time which may include: Books, Large Print titles, DVDs, CDs, Magazines, Activity Kits, MP3 books
• Place holds on Woodstock materials (but not other libraries' materials). You can do this via the internet or by phone
• Access the internet for 1 hour per day (we have T1 lines)
• Use subscription databases from home Digital Books and Movies are availablefor your home computer
• Attend all library programs
• Sign up to use the library's meeting room and training room
• Get personal help- why wade through Google?

By Paying only $35 (after 5/1/11) per household you can also:
• Check out up to 50 items at any one time
• Place holds on Woodstock's materials and also on materials from other NIC libraries
• Request Interlibrary loan materials from other libraries in Illinois
• Borrow from other public libraries in Illinois in person

Additional Library Services for Wonder Lake area residents:
• Outside Book Return located at the Wonder Lake State Bank on Thompson Road
• Summer programs weekly for children at Highland Shores Community Center
